I’m a plein air artist. I admire and follow the impressionist, Monet, Manet, Van Gogh, and Renoir. My paintings are bold and emphasize the light. The suns warm colors and the cool colors of the morning and evening shadows.
Portraits & Pawtraits...Images that capture the Eye "My primary medium is pencil. I love the reality the detail and the eyes tell the story.
Elders and the youth, adorable pets and multicultural images are my passion!
I want you to feel my art."
Multi dimensional artist, working in a variety of media, including painting, installation, music composition, theatre, and writing. "I am interested in the deeper questions."
I view my work as a way of bringing a little of the natural elements that surround us to others in
hopes they can understand what nature offers.
My goal is to bring a sense of peace and quiet to those who view my artwork.
In art I have found the way to express myself and capture through it my deepest feelings that surprise me by being materialized by this wonderful method that shows us the innermost of our existence and essence.
I paint with light in order to not only to capture an image but to give the viewer the sense of the drama of the scene.
I can spot a worthy subject in seconds but it might be minutes, hours, or even days before I take the image. You'll see
that I have varied subjects matters from Landscapes to Abstracts and often layer images to create new art pieces.
My passion for art has manifested over the years through watercolor painting. There is something magical to me when the colors run together on the wet paper, making mesmerizing skies and incredibly realistic foregrounds.
I find inspiration from the world around me and create pieces that reflect the joy I find in my daily observations. I work in a wide range of mediums that include pastel, acrylic, watercolor, printmaking, charcoal and pencil.
Painting is my passion. Landscapes, Wildlife, Pets, the Ocean – scenes that are both powerful
and serene. I love animals and strive to express their individuality. Expressing beauty in oil
paint – that’s my work.
I have enjoyed capturing photo-imaging for over 50 years. My first SLR was a Canon a friend brought back to me from Japan in 1969. After several SLR's I graduated to digital in 2005.
If I'm not catching candids with my iPhone, my go-to camera is a Sony ax6000 with a Sony G 4/18-105 lens.
Although I have traveled extensively since 2003, my favorite images are those that show things from a unique perspective. I call them "Smell the Roses" shots. My favorite subjects are saturated colors, high-contrast B&W, street scenes, and candids. My most admired photographers shoot in B&W and capture street scenes.
As I retire in 2025, I look forward to focusing "through the lens" more.
My goal as a photographer is to capture images that excite the sense of sight by their color, shape, meaning, or subject matter. Landscapes, street scenes, architecture, seascapes, machinery, people are all subjects that I enjoy photographing.
Having studied with artists in the U.S. and abroad while a Foreign Service spouse, Jinx was exposed to art and culture in many counties. Now retired,
she spends her time painting, traveling, volunteering, playing tennis and
gardening. “I am a part of all that I have met;
Yet all experience is an arch wherethrough
Gleams that untraveled world whose margin fades
Forever and forever when I move.” (Ulysses)
A love of nature and people is what motivates me to paint. I enjoy painting a variety of subjects, including portraits, primarily in pastel and acrylic. Art enriches my life and it is my hope that it enriches yours as well.
Creating art has always been my passion, to interpret how the beauty of our world makes me feel. I have oil and watercolor paintings hanging in homes and offices throughout the US and in Australia.
My work is reflective of my character: inquisitive, contemplative, and fanciful. The drawings,
paintings, combined media and assemblages range from realism to total abstraction. My
combined media artwork often contains found objects giving the artwork a sense of history.

@Zanniki
A passionate artist finding inspiration in nature, cultures, and life, conveying impressions and
messages to support and motivate her fellow humans.
Is it nature or nurture? In my case it must be both! A family with more than 100 years of artists, I have followed in their footsteps with paintbrush and camera. My dad, chair of the Photography Department at a California University and my mom an artist and teacher fostered my love of art, color, and painting. Summers were spent in National Parks where my dad, the Ranger, instilled in me a love of the natural world.
I paint a variety of subjects. But, what my paintings have in common is that each is an attempt by me to capture an instant in time when I looked at something or someone and saw that thing or those people in a way that grabbed my heart and arrested me. My paintings are just me trying to share that elusive but very visceral experience with you.
